Thanks for visiting my site to learn about how I can help you achieve your wellness goals!

My interest in wellness started young. I loved to eat (still do) and was chubby through my 30s. I was teased for my weight and my clumsiness in exercise classes and sports. As a result, I have always been conscious of my weight and how I move. In high school, I discovered that I was able to do the required exercises in Physical Education if I did them at my own pace rather than the expected pace. In college, I hated going to the gym because I was teased for not knowing how to use the machines and for not wearing the right clothes. I discovered exercise videos and worked out at home. On my own, I learned about proper alignment, muscles, and how not to injure myself. I tried different exercises and ended up really liking Pilates. I started taking Pilates classes and found a community I felt comfortable working out with.

I grew up eating quite healthfully. After I started working and living on my own, it was a challenge to figure out a regular and healthful eating routine given my personal and professional obligations because I have always worked multiple jobs and have an active social life. I have tried different diets and read up on nutrition to figure out what works for me. As my life changes, I have to adjust how and what I eat and how I take care of myself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

When I am not teaching Pilates and helping people achieve their wellness goals, I help students achieve their academic goals as an academic and executive function coach. (I enjoy working multiple jobs 😊)

I look forward to getting to know you and working with you to achieve your wellness goals!
